About Instacart
Founded in 2012 in San Francisco, Instacart is the brainchild of serial entrepreneur Apoorva Mehta. The company offers a grocery pick-up and delivery service for everything from food to fashion. Although based in San Francisco, Instacart has shoppers and delivery drivers that serve customers throughout the United States and Canada.

Annual Sales
Instacart doesn't run its own annual sales. However, they routinely feature manufacturer's coupons and in-store discounts offered through participating stores. The Instacart website and app automatically apply relevant in-store discounts and coupons to items in a customer's cart.

Customer Service
Instacart has a toll-free telephone number and an entire, separate Help website. The phone number is +1 (844) 981-3433. To access the Help website, click the Help link located on any page of the Instacart parent website. The Help website contains an extensive section devoted to FAQs addressing common and unique concerns. You can also address mistakes with your Instacart order (like incorrect items) directly in the app. Within four days of your order, just tap the order that had an issue, select the type of issue from the menu and then select the item you have a problem with. After your issue is reviewed, you can receive an Instacart credit for a future order.

App Info
There is an Instacart mobile app for Android and iOS devices. The app features all of the same info as the website. The mobile app allows customers to interact with shoppers live. As the shopper collects the customer's order, either party can reach out to the other, confer on substitutions or add new items pre-checkout.

Discounts With Email Signups
Discounts with email signups are a frequent perk of Instacart's membership services. The discounts come in two forms; they may be a certain amount deducted from the customer's entire bill or free delivery.

Programs With Benefits
Instacart offers paid member services under the Instacart Express program. For a fee, Instacart Express members enjoy unlimited free delivery on orders totaling a minimum amount. Members can shop multiple stores in a single order without incurring the extra fees that apply to non-members. Instacart Express members never pay surcharges during peak hours.

No-Contact Delivery
No-contact delivery and pick-up are firmly established Instacart policies. Customers have the option of selecting where they want their shopper/driver to leave their order, whether at curbside, with a concierge or at the customer's doorstep. Instacart's app automatically issues tracking alerts.

Referral Program
Instacart customers receive a monetary reward for every referral they make that results in a new membership. The referred member also receives an introductory reward along with their invitation. Rewards can be as much as $10. The rewards are only applicable to future Instacart orders, and there is a cap of five referrals per customer.

Loyalty Program
Instacart honors loyalty cards offered through affiliated stores that rely on its service for remote shopping, pick-up and delivery. Under the link "Loyalty Cards" on the Settings page, customers enter their relevant store loyalty card number. This loyalty card info remains on file and enables Instacart to apply relevant points after each purchase.

Group Shopping Cart
Thanks to a special website and in-app feature, multiple customers with or without Instacart accounts can join a group cart. After creating a group cart, Instacart emails the other guests, even sending special links to guests who do not have an Instacart account. The guests then shop, filling the cart with desired items. Delivery occurs within two hours.

Instacart Flower Delivery
For Valentine's Day, or whenever you need flowers, Instacart can be an easy, fast, last-minute way to have fresh flowers delivered. If your local grocery store or warehouse club is shoppable with Instacart, you can order a bouquet from the flower section and avoid all the upcharges associated with flower delivery companies.
